30/4
This week I had to finalise my SRP ready for printing and handing in. From this SRP I have learnt many things and enjoyed researching about my chocolate subject of melting times. Attached is a final mind-map of everything that I've been doing.

Week 10
7/4
This week I had to edit my report draft and my google doc evaluation of my work/experiment and send it to my teacher for editing and ideas to how i can further improve on my work. The link below is to my google docs evaluation of my experiment and analysis of results.

Week 9
3/4
This week I evaluated my method to make sure it was all correct then I looked over my results to my experiment to see if there were any problems. I also wrote an evaluation and conclusion to my experiment to conclude my report. i also wrote an analysis and evaluation of my methods via Google docs.

Week 8
26/3
This week i had to edit my method for my experiment and carry out the experiments. After carrying out the experiments fro each flavour, quality and brand of chocolate i came up with using a results table to put my results in. It was very easy to record my results using a table because it didn't take up time to draw up and was easy to write results in.
The mind-map below is an up date of my mind-map in my earlier blogs.

Below is two results tables that I constructed for my results, one for the cooking chocolate and the other for the normal chocolate, I had two attempts to this experiment, the results we're fairly close to each other.
Results-
Cooking chocolate:
| Flavour and brand of chocolate | Time (Minutes and attempt 1 | Seconds) attempt 2 |
| White chocolate (cadbury) | 1min 52secs | 1min 30secs |
| White chocolate (homebrand) | 3mins 29secs | 3mins 6secs |
| Dark chocolate (cadbury) | 2mins 43secs | 2mins 58secs |
| Dark chocolate (homebrand) | 2mins 33secs | 2mins 16secs |
| Milk chocolate (cadbury) | 3mins 20secs | 3mins 45secs |
| Milk chocolate (homebrand) | 2mins 29secs | 2mins 7secs |
Normal chocolate:
| Flavour and brand of chocolate | Time (Minutes and attempt 1 | Seconds) attempt 2 |
| White chocolate (cadbury) | 2mins 38secs | 2mins 26secs |
| White chocolate (homebrand) | 3mins 11secs | 3mins 29secs |
| Dark chocolate (cadbury) | 1min 28secs | 1mins 13secs |
| Dark chocolate (homebrand) | 1min 52secs | 2mins 7secs |
| Milk chocolate (cadbury) | 2mins 51 secs | 2mins 47secs |
| Milk chocolate (homebrand) | 2mins 48secs | 2mins 36secs |

Week 7
20/3
This week i had to design my experiment, organise the equipment and set the controls for my experiment. I also had to identify the dependent and independent variables.
These included:
Dependent- time it takes for the chocolate to melt
independent- the quality of the chocolate (brand and flavour)
controls- amount of chocolate and temperature of the water (boiling point/100 degrees celsius)
The aim of my experiment is to find out what type (brand and flavour) of chocolate melts the fastest at boiling point.
Equipment: thermometer, tooth pick, stopwatch, Bain marie (a pot of water and bowl can be used if a Bain marie can not be used) and a stove.

I will be taking photos to show that I conducted my experiment and will being using a table to collect my results.
Some safety precautions that I had to be aware of were:
-being very carful around a hot stove and a pot of boiling water
-being carful not to burn myself when testing if the chocolate is melted using a toothpick
-being carful not to burn myself when testing the temperature of the water before putting the chocolate on

Week 6
12/3
I had many ideas about the Science Research Project this week. I was highly interested in doing a experiments on chocolate. So i came up with doing an experiment on 'The quality of chocolate affects its melting time - comparative study of melting times of various chocolates'.
The mind map below shows a brief outline of the variables that are involved in this experiment, it also includes the various types of chocolate i will be using.

Week 5
9/3
Today I created a mind-map using Bubbl.us and also created a google account for my blogger.com. I came up with many ideas for my SRP, but i was highly interested in doing experiments on chocolate.
The mind-map below shows what i got up to.
